Imperial Glass 8" Ruffled Amethyst Carnival Glass Bowl. Imperial introduced the Pansy pattern, also referred to as Imperial's # 478, in 1910 . This amethyst carnival bowl does not bear an Imperial stamp indicating it is early production that would have been released with a sticker logo. Imperial offered their best efforts on the Pansy pieces, producing rich deep colors with lush irridescence. The Pansy bowl offered is rated near perfect condition, failing perfection but for two areas on the edge of the bowl bearing three flea bites less than 1/10th of an inch in diameter each. The two slight flawed areas are typically noticeable only in detailed inspection and a smoothing repair may be possible. Two photos with 200% magnification are posted of the flawed areas. The hues reflected on this piece are deep and vibrant with much gold tone. The Pansy ruffled bowl is 8" in diameter.
