Northwood Glass Company 9" Amethyst Carnival Glass Bowl in the Good Luck pattern. Both Fenton Glass Company and Northwood Glass produced a pattern designated Good Luck. The Northwood pattern featured the Good Luck phrase, a horse shoe and crop in the center of the pieces with surrounding foliage, berries and flowers. Fenton's piece also had the Good Luck phrase and horse shoe in the center of the pieces. The surrounding features on the Fenton pieces were very different from the Northwood pattern with abstract heart inspired designs. The Fenton piece does not include the riding crop feature. This amethyst Northwood Good Luck bowl is in excellent condition. It is 9" in diameter and has an ice cream shape, saw tooth edge, basket weave exterior and collar base. The irridescence on the carnival glass bowl reflects hues of green and gun metal. The piece does bear the Northwood mark, N.
